The Arkansas Repertory Theatre - Fall 1992

The lighting design for Patio/Porch sought to find two realistically based, but distinctly different looks: one look for the “Patio” act, and another for the “Porch.” These looks sought to capture the tone and feel of these two different areas where characters played out their stories. Both looks utilized a very directional light, with the patio lighting being very planar - uninterrupted by trees or obstructions of any kind, and the porch lighting being more textured - filtered through trees and trellis.
